Most of us have at least attempted to ride a skateboard. The more time I spent on one, the better I got. The better I got, the more chances I took. The more chances I took, the more times I fell. And at times, it really hurt.
What caused me to fall? It could have been a small rock that locked a wheel, a cracked or bumpy sidewalk, the skateboard needed some maintenance, or it was human error. Whatever the case, I still hit the pavement. But I knew I had to get back up. Sure, I had some scrapes and bruises, but the excitement outweighed the injuries.
That skateboard became a teacher—showing me how progress often comes with pain, how growth always demands risk, and how resilience is built every time we choose to stand back up. Life is no different. We fall for all kinds of reasons—unexpected obstacles, broken paths, poor planning, or simply our own mistakes. But falling doesn’t mean we’ve failed. It means we were moving forward.
The only real failure is staying down.
So whether you're riding a skateboard or navigating life, take the risk. Expect to fall sometimes. But most importantly—get back up, learn from it, and keep moving. The ride is worth it.
